For a second consecutive year, property values in Gawler East, home to Springwood, have reached record highs!
As reported in The Advertiser on Saturday 8 May, the latest data from the Office of the Valuer-General show that house values in Gawler East increased by a staggering 43.38 per cent during the previous quarter — making it the suburb with the single biggest increase in value across metro Adelaide.
“These results are outstanding, and are a testament to not only the strength of South Australia’s property market, but the confidence that buyers have in Springwood,” said Springwood’s Project Director, Anthony Andolfatto.
“As the Springwood community continues to grow, the value that Springwood brings to Gawler East and the wider Gawler community is becoming increasingly apparent.
“Infrastructure like the Gawler East Link Road; million-dollar recreational spaces like Highfield Reserve; and current and future amenities, including the Calton Road X Convenience and Springwood Place Shopping Precinct, are having a direct impact on property values in the area,” he said.
The median house price in Gawler East is now $487,500, compared to $385,864 at the same time in 2020.
The facilities and amenities on offer at Springwood are appealing to house-hunters, with recent research conducted by Bank SA cited in The Advertiser article showing that two thirds of South Australian’s are prioritising proximity to services, including public transport, medical services and supermarkets, as well as properties with land for a garden or an outdoor area for children or pets.
