“In the past two months, sales at Springwood have really taken off — in July we achieved 13 sales, and in August alone, a record 28 sales,” said Founder and Managing Director of Wel.Co, Andrew Welsh.
“On top of that, 80 per cent of blocks in our latest release launched in August sold on the day of release, and we even had a couple setting up their caravan and camping out overnight to be the first through our Sales Centre on launch day.
“We’ve never seen anything like this before. Buyers are very focused on securing the block they’re after, so it’s clear the boom in Adelaide’s north is very real!”
Strong sales at Springwood have reflected recent trends seen across the state, driven by strong investment and population growth.
According to the Urban Development Institute of Australia’s State of the Land report, annual SA land sales increased by 83 per cent between 2019 and 2020, with Adelaide’s northern suburbs leading the pack with a 168 per cent surge in sales.
“Combined, significant government investment in infrastructure — especially the Northern Expressway — strong interstate migration levels, and the growing defence and space hubs in the northern suburbs are driving a lot of interest,” said Mr Welsh.
To meet ongoing demand from buyers, Mr Welsh said Wel.Co has implemented a number of strategies at Springwood, including a refined sales process, and increasing the number of land releases each year.
“Drawing on our experience delivering communities around Australia, we have implemented new sales processes to simplify the customer experience and a focused release strategy that provides a greater selection of lots for all buyers.
“At Springwood, our community and lifestyle on offer is really starting to come to fruition too, with our Village Centre featuring a Drakes Supermarket, cafe and speciality stores opening next year, and a Where We Grow childcare centre set to open in the coming months,” he said.
