Young couple Erin and Reece — along with their fur-baby, Daisy — decided to build a new home and life in Springwood in 2020, after relocating from Mudgee in New South Wales to be closer to family in South Australia.
After a career in the defence force, Reece decided to pursue a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree from UniSA, while Erin secured a job at Westpac.
Springwood ticked all the right boxes when it came to what they were looking for in a home, and community.
“Springwood was the right location, within budget and had the best block sizes for what we wanted in a property — plus, it’s close to family,” said Reece.
Together, Reece and Erin moved into Springwood in August 2020, after building a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom Hickinbotham Home on a 640sqm block. They’ve enjoyed getting to know their neighbours, and exploring the town of Gawler.
“Living in Springwood is great,” said Erin.
“The neighbours are friendly and warm, and we love walking through Springwood and taking in the views of the rolling hills.
“Gawler is a great town too, and everything we need is within driving range.
“It has so many great shops and restaurants, perfect for a very good coffee and eggs benedict on a Sunday morning!”
Having been recommended Springwood by their friends and family, Erin and Reece are now happily recommending Springwood to others, too.
“We were told so many great things about Springwood, and we weren’t disappointed by anything we were told,” said Reece.
