Springwood supports the Salvo’s Christmas Appeal

While 2020 has been a tough year for all Australians, vulnerable members of our community have been especially hard-hit.

In lieu of our annual Christmas party, Springwood has been proud to support the Salvo’s Christmas Appeal, by making a $5,000 donation to the Riverside Salvos Gawler.

This donation will provide 58 families from the greater Gawler region with a full Christmas Hamper which includes breakfast, a Christmas dinner, treats like bon bons, tea and coffee and presents for children under 16.

In addition to the donation to the Salvo’s, the Springwood Giving Tree was also set up in the Discovery Centre for residents to donate gifts for children.

“I want to say a huge thank you to the whole Springwood family and team,” said Major Darren Cox from the Riverside Salvos Gawler.

“The donation has made a world of difference to us this year, and we wish everyone who lives in this beautiful estate a Merry Christmas from Riverside Salvos.”

Springwood’s Project Director, Anthony Andolfatto, praised the work of the Riverside Salvos Gawler, and the generosity of Springwood residents.

“This is the third year that we have supported the Riverside Salvo’s Christmas Appeal, an incredibly worthy cause that brings hope to members of the Gawler community at this special time of year.

“While we were disappointed that we could not host our annual Christmas party for residents due to COVID-19, I have been incredibly humbled by the generosity of our residents and their community spirit.”
