When Nichola Bradley and her two children David (10) and Sophie (8) moved to Gawler to live with her partner Benjamin Gerrits and his two children, Chase (14) and Callen (8) in 2020, finding a new home for her new, blended family was a top priority.

“As Ben has always owned his properties, we thought it was best to get out of renting and into a property of our own, so we made the decision to build and went looking for land,” said Nichola.

“We went for one drive to Springwood and that was it!

“We fell in love with the views, playgrounds and walking tracks, as well as the idea of having a Drakes Supermarket and service station close by.

“Springwood really gave us a family and community vibe, which we definitely want with four children.”

The couple also couldn’t resist the convenience of being closer to the children’s school, Immanuel Primary.

When it came to choosing a block of land, Nichola and Ben were keen to find something big enough for their growing family, and with room for a three-car garage.

They settled on a 688sqm block that came fenced, retained and compacted, and have chosen to build a four-bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home with Frank Nesci Homes.

Ben, who owns Gerrits Plastering, a solid plastering/rendering business, had worked with Frank Nesci before and was impressed by the high-quality of his homes.

“We chose a block with 21.5m frontage up the top of Highfield because it gave us the feel of country living but was still so close to town, and allowed us to have a three-car garage.

“We chose Frank Nesci Homes to build our house because they are a reputable family-owned business that we’ve had the pleasure of working with in the past.”

With construction on their dream home now well underway, Nichola and Ben are looking forward to moving into their new home in early 2022.

“The team at Springwood have all been very helpful, even when I probably sounded very stressed!,” said Nichola.

“They’ve always been there to answer all questions and provide updates on the development process, and we honestly can’t wait to move into Springwood and become part of the Springwood community.
