In 2016, wanting a tree-change, Lydia, Emile and their cat Juju began exploring a move from Melbourne to South Australia.
“We had visited a few neighbouring subdivisions, but when we drove into Springwood it just felt right,” said Lydia.
“The area was serene with lots of character, which was exactly what we were looking for.
“We selected a 498sqm block on our last day, before flying back to Melbourne with a big book of plans in our hands!”
After building their three bedroom, two bathroom home with Simonds, the couple officially moved to Springwood in July 2018.
“It was a real ‘ahh we’re home’ moment,” said Lydia.
“We’re so glad we chose to live in Springwood because there is nowhere else we would rather be living – we just love it!
“When we first moved, the Springwood team was always available to answer any questions we had, and continue to do so to this day.”

“Springwood offers the easy and quiet lifestyle we were seeking, with friendly neighbours quick to give a smile and a wave,” said Lydia.
“Gawler itself offers the same easy living. We enjoy the easy access to the amenities, friendly people and best of all, no traffic jams!
“I think though, the most exciting aspect of living in Springwood is what’s to come – especially the development of the Village Centre with the shops and cafes within walking distance to us.”
